What
happens at my first initial exam?
A new (adult) patient visit is compromised of two parts. The
first is an appointment with Dr. Frost. He will be gathering
necessary diagnostic information including a thorough review
of your dental and medical history. After a comprehensive clinical
examination, Dr. Frost will review his findings with you and
address any questions or concerns. Together you will then develop
a personalized treatment plan.
The second part is scheduled with one of our hygienist’s.
If it has been a long time since your last dental cleaning,
or if you have a compromised periodontal (gum) situation, you
may need more than one visit with the hygienist. This will be
discussed and planned with you. After these initial visits,
you will then become a part of our Continuing Care Program.
Do you take insurance?
We accept all insurance plans except DSHS and State Coupons.
We are participating members of Regence Washington Health and
a premier provider for Washington Dental Service. We highly
recommend you familiarize yourself with all of your insurance
plan’s restrictions and benefits. We will make sure we
provide as much information as we can, but remember your plan
is a contract with you and your company. As a courtesy, we will
bill your insurance, however regardless of insurance payment,
any balance remaining will be your responsibility.
How are your fees?
We are very competitively priced for the Eastside Seattle Area.
Before we schedule any service, we will offer and provide a
treatment plan with an Estimate of all fees, insurance coverage
and personal balances for you. Please call us with any other
specific questions.
How do you bill?
We bill the insurance first by electronic mail. If there is
an amount left that your insurance did not cover, we will bill
you for the difference. For major services, your co-pay will
be due at the time of service. Statements are mailed at the
beginning of every month. If you are a cash patient, we ask
that payment be received at the time of service. We accept VISA,
M/C, debit cards, personal checks and cash. We also offer a
financial plan for major cases through Capital
One
.
Why doesn’t my insurance
pay for this?
There is no regulation as to how insurance companies determine
reimbursement levels, resulting in wide fluctuation. Many plans
pay an established percentage of the dentist’s fee or
limits. Although these limits are called “customary”
they may or may not reflect the fees that the dentist charges.
Do you see children?
We see families! We love children and believe in making your
child’s visit fun and educational. If your child has special
needs, we work with several Pediatric dentists in the area as
well.
